TI-Freakware hiring - 9/15/2006
TI-Freakware is looking for people who would like to join the staff and fill in several areas that are currently open. These positions are:

Archiver

Links Manager

Tutorial writer

Programmers

Community News 'reporter'

The job the archivers would have is to play random calc games found across the internet and any that are high in quality that would make a good addition to the site, be added, once you have the author's permission. Usually, the authors of games are more than willing to allow their games to be posted, and with the amount of games that are out there that need to be sifted through, this would take a bit of work. Currently 3 spots are open for this position.

Links Manager is a fairly simple job. What is required in this position is the go through the list of links and check to see if they are still good on a regular basis (like once a month). Also, it would be your job to scour the internet when you have time and see if you can find any site related to calcs that have not been added to the database. There is only one spot open for this position.

Tutorial writiers would do just as the name says, write tutorials for any language on the calcs they know. You can also go around, and archive others tutorials, pending you get author's permission, which for the most part the tutorials available, the authors are no longer around. There are 3 spots available for this position.

TI-Freakware is always looking for calculator programmers to host. What this entials is your own subforum on the forums, a folder for you to host betas, screenshots, etc. You can also make your own projects pages You also retain your individuality, you are simply programming under the TI-Freakware banner. You would of course need to include TI-Freakware and a link back to the site in your readmes of games that you make while being hosted by this site. The number of positions for this spot is 15, since we have plenty of room at the moment. :)

Community News 'reporter' goes around and gets the latest happenings in the TI-Community, be it French, English, etc. (Simply using a translator from google.) You would then either make your own 'story' about the news item, or you can quote the original post. There are 2 spots open for this position.

If you are interested in any of these positions, and would like to signup or just ask questions about them, please feel free to email me at tifreak8x@hotmail.com. The positions are not full time, and I understand that you have a life outside of calculators, so please do not let that dissuade you from the positions. :) Thank you for your interest, and please help keep this site active.
Project updates! - 8/11/2006
Programmers for TI-Freakware have been hard at work, getting their projects completed.

Back on 7/17/2006, Lachprog released a newer version of Super Mario 68k, giving us up to world 3 to play with, and many new enviroments, like the water levels. :)

He also has some of the prize houses working, and if you get lucky, the card game also works. Here are some of the newer screenshots:

To discuss his awesome project, click here.

Ranman, working on Ultima V for the 68k calcs, has been working on completing different aspects of the game, and just last night managed to get NPC's to work in the way they were intended. He has also gotten it to "set camp", which you can see in this screenshot:

Ultima V SS

You can also see a little bit of moon gating going on in this screenshot:

Face Lift - 7/19/2006
Kerm Martian, of Cemetech has implemented a new button system for the entire sit, and has designed a new logo, which If I do say so myself, looks really cool. If you are a member of his site, let him know what you think! If not, join, and let him know what you think. ;)

Also look out for the new favicon to soon be posted. ;)

Tutorials section updated - 5/5/2006
The tutorials section is being upgraded, so to speak, as I am moving things to an easier system on the backend, to help keep track of where they are. I am also adding all the cool text boxes, courtesy of Kerm Martian. The nav bar up top is already updated, to redirect you to the tutorial index page. Please give me a few days to get the rest of the tutorials posted, as there are around 5 left to complete.
General updates - 4/29/2006
Well, as you can see, TI-Freakware is now back online, with very little lost from the hack. I finally got the older news posted back up, and all the pages seems to be back online.

Kerm Martian has agreed to help give the site a little bit better looking buttons, and he will be experimenting with them over the course of next week, so please don't freak out if things don't look correct.

And last but not least, I am revamping the tutorials section of the site. The root directory was getting a bit crowded, so I have decided to move the tutorials over to a folder system. So far, only the TI-82 has been completed, though I hope to complete the TI-83 section tonight, and quite possibly the 85 and 86 sections as well, since there are currently no/few tutorials for those catagories. The old tutorial system will remain until I complete the new system, then you will be redirected to the new system via the nav bar up top.

Any comments are greatly appreciated on the forums.
Site Hacked - 4/15/2006
The site has been hacked, and is currently down. I will try to get a back up to restore it later today.

And as I am sure you know, I am not happy... All the files concerning the main pages are gone. Let you know when things are back online...
Updates - 4/12/2006
I am sure some have been thinking that the archives were not gonna get updated ever again, or the few that posted their games/programs would never see them posted. Well, I have taken the time, to get some done. I hope to have them all posted by this weekend, so I can get something else done.

I would like to welcome Ranman, as he is a new TI-Freakware staff/programmer, check out his awesome RPG port in progress here.

I have been working on updating Age of Darkness Revenge and TI-City, though progress is slow due to life. Hopefully I can get something accomplished on these projects in the near future.

And last, but not least, I have re-organized the forums to be a little bit more efficient, and cleaner looking. I have added some sections, to give it some variety, and taken down some that were either redundant, or not being used anymore. If you would like something added to it, post it in the forums and let us know!
Reflections - 3/30/2006
Well, I have been reflecting about this site.

TI-Freakware first started on msn, in their "Community Groups", back on 7/9/2002. I spend a considerable amount of time on that site, trying to get as many people there I could to come to my new site. After a while, though, I began to realize that msn groups was fairly restrictive, and I could only do so much with the editors and limitations that they provided, so I made the move to geocities.

I began to learn html, and constructed a fairly simple layout, and tried to make things work there. Well, they didn't and after about 2 months, I returned back to the msn site, to continue work. There I restructured the site, added a bunch of stuff, including games, links, and what not, but it was still not what I wanted it to be.

After Quite a while, back in Dec 04, I restarted work on the geocities site, and started making some fairly decent strides with the site. I had a decent list of links to other sites, I had a slowly growing collection of games, and I had a forum that people rarely visited. But for the most part, I was happy with the way things were going.

Then, Geocities decided to make an invasive ad system, and at that point, Kerm Martian and myself decided it was time to get away from Geocities. I contacted the Administration at Calcgames and asked if I could have a little bit of space, as they hosted some sites. They had no problem with it, and on March 16th, 2005, TI-Freakware took the next step into becoming the best it could be.

Now a year later, and 13,000 visits to the main from page, I wish to say thank you, for making TI-Freakware what it is today.

I have finally gotten around to updating the RPG Starter Kit, adding a slightly different hit detection method, and a much easier to read developer's guide. You can find it in the archives here.
Super Mario 68k Update - 3/2/2006
Lachprog has released a new demo of his upcoming Super Mario game, including many new features, so if you are interested in this project, take a look at his main page to download the game. :)
AOD Updates - 2/28/2006
While porting the Age of Darkness game to the 82, I stumbled upon many optimizations for the 83/+ versions, so after two days of hard work, I bring you the newest version, for the 83+!!
86 Tutorials in progress... - 2/16/2006
I have started in on the TI-86 BASIC tutorials, and so far have up to lesson 2 complete, lesson 3 more than half way complete. I will try to get more posted as I have time, but between work, and all of my calculator projects, it may take a week or two to get completed...

You can find the tutorials by clicking on the Tutorials button, at the top.
Files Added - 2/13/2006
I have uploaded some files to the archives, and am now working on the pending files that have been sitting for some time. These should be uploaded in the next couple of days.
2d Sprite Routines - 2/3/2006
I have released an html version of Axcho's Overview of BASIC Sprite Techniques. This tutorial gives some interesting ways to put sprites on the graphscreen and homescreen, so if you are a programmer looking for new ways to make awesome games, check it out now!
More on the way... - 1/23/2006
And yet another tutorial is added to the growing list! This is a new series by CDI, current member of the TI-Freakware and Omnimaga forums. This new tutorial series can be found here.

The next planned tutorial is a 2d sprite technique made by axcho of UnitedTI. This should be posted sometime in the next few days.
Resource tutorial added - 1/16/2006
I managed to get another new tutorial up, describing how to use a program called Resource to make your larger games better. chec it out here. This is just part of my plan to write a tutorial for most of the major asm libs available...
Greyscale tutorial added - 1/14/2006
Kevin Ouellet of Omnimaga asked to have his BASIC Greyscale package posted in the tutorials, and after a couple days of hard work, the page is complete! Check it out here!
New staff member! -1/11/2006
Well, to start of the new year, TI-Freakware hired on a new staff member, tenniskid493. Please make him feel welcome by saying hi on the forums. He will be taking care of miscellanious things around the site, as he has time. He just finished the pending links, bring the pending down to 2. He could not complete them due to... limitations. :)

I am working on the projects pages, and tutorials, so check back often for new updates.
New tutorial - 12/27/2005
I finally got around to posting a new tutorial, this one by Elfprince13. It describes a little bit about sprite making and hit detection without using assembly libraries. Definitely worth a read, catch it here!
Merry Christmas -12/25/2005
We at TI-Freakware want to wish the entire TI-Community a very Merry Christmas!

Also, as a small present from me for those that have been waiting, Pokemon beta is now available, let me know what you think of it in the forum.
BE Newsletter - 12/7/2005
The BASIC Elite Newsletter is now back, in an html format for easier reading. This can be found at Cemetech or by clicking on the Tutorials link above.
Project Updates - 12/7/2005
I am sure you have noticed the lack of updates on the site, and the reason is I have been really busy with work, and too tired at the end of the day to do a whole lot. But I have been working on some of my own projects, and hopefully you will be seeing them come out soon enough.

One project that I have been working on is Pokemon Purple, and thanks to a member of Omnimaga, I have a cool title screen:

I also began the process of porting AODV3 to the TI-82 and the TI-86, after suprisingly recieving a few requests.

And last but not least, I have also been working on the ASM Resource page, (located under 'Tutorials') which now has almost 100 links on the page, covering a wide variety of catagories.
ASM Resource page - 11/19/2005
I have started work on an asm resource page, that will have links to different tutorials and compilers, to try and help those that wish to learn the asm or C language.

ASM Rescource page
Make Over - 11/4/2005
Thanks to the Efforts of Kerm Martian of Cemetech, I now have a javascript header that will allow me to more easily edit the navigation bar. This effect will go site wide, and should be done by next weekend. There is also another 20-30 sites needing to be listed, and the whole list needs to be gone through, to ensure that they all still exist.

More effort will be put into the archives, and the finishing of the tutorials, once these updates are complete. Expext new links to be made available on the navigation bar.

Also, if you are not a frequent visitor of the forums, then you are missing out its transformation as well. Buttons and basically everything else will soon be converted to a more 'TI-Freakware' scheme. This too should be complete by next weekend.

Any comments and suggestions should be directed to the forum. It is free to join after all...
New Poll - 10/28/2005
Well, this morning I decided on the new poll, so you visitors can tell me what to put more of on the site. And then I also saw that I didn't put a link for the guestbook up, and I did that as well. Basically, nothing overly important going on right at this moment. :)

Guestbook

The forums are almost complete. I have some issues with the image at the top and the images for the forum itself, and once those are complete, I can move on to other things. :)
Guestbook - 10/27/2005
After some thought, I decided to add a guest book for those of you that wish to add comments on what you think of the site. I will probably add a special banner for it very soon. Also, I plan on adding a new poll, that should be implemented soon.
30,000 dls - 10/24/2005
Well, I thought this somewhat worthy to be posted. After releasing Age of Darkness I to ticalc.org in Mid 2002, and after adding 22 more programs and games, TI-Freakware has just broke the 30000 mark! While it does not pertain to anything here, it does prove to me that the stuff I produce is being downloaded, even if no one emails me to let me know what they think of the programs. I hope that with some new programs and games on the way, I will be able to see 50,000 downloads sometime next year. Thanks goes out to all for downloading the programs, and come back to see many more!
Mario 68k pages added - 10/24/2005
After a bit of playing around, I have gotten four pages up for the Super Mario 68k Project. You can also now download the game from this site, so check it out, and let Lachprog know what you think of the game thus far in the forums!
Site Updates - 10/21/2005
No, you haven't been abandoned just yet. I have been extremely busy with work and general life, so I have not had the time to work on the site like I should. I do how ever have new 83+ tutorials for you, lessons 9 and 10 are now available, covering most aspects of the graphscreen (gaming wise) and how to draw on it. In lesson 11, I will discuss how to use the commands from 9 and 10 to create a paint type program.

For the time being, however, I am going to devote a little time to help create a template for Lachprogs projects, so he has a better way of promoting is upcoming Super Mario 68K. More on this very soon.
More Content - 10/9/2005
In an attempt to bring more traffic to the site, I have went back to adding good games to the archives. Over the course of the next few days, there will be some additions to the 89 archives, and maybe I can get some more on the 83+ tutorials posted. Also, visit our forums! Start up some conversations or join some of the current ones. :)
Pokemon Purple - 10/2/2005
I have started up a new project, that will mix Pokemon versions Red and Blue to create the ultimate game, Pokemon Purple. You will play both versions through, on one version, mewtwo will of coures be available, but on the other version, you will be able to capture Mew. :) For more information on this project, and to give your input on this game, click here.
BASIC Tutor - 9/29/2005
I have finally completed Kerm Martian's BASIC Tutor conversion from the original Adobe and Word documents to a now easy to read html version. This tutorial can be found in the 83+ Tutorials, by clicking here.

If you find any problems with this tutorial, please report it in the forums.
New Links - 9/26/2005
Not too important of an update, but we have started adding links to the links section once again. This is sort of important because of the fact that Rivereye Studios was the last updated link, and that was well over 2 months ago. We now have a long list of sites to add, so check back often and watch our list of sites grow!
New tutorials - 9/25/2005
Kerm Martian has given permission to post his BASIC Tutor on my site in html format, and I have begun the process. The actual page is online, there are many pics that won't show up, and there is a couple of pics that needs to be edited. More on this later.
TI-89 tutorials added! - 9/19/2005
I have done extensive searching on the net, and have found very little refernce on how to program 68k basic. There were only a couple out in the community, and was only available at ticalc.org. Now you can find one of these great tutorials here, by clicking here.

Kerm Martian of Cemetech has given permission to post his BASIC tutor in html format, to help promote his very thurough tutorial. Be looking for that in the coming weeks.
New staff - 9/18/2005
Two members have been accepted to the available staff positions here at TI-Freakware, Lachprog, who is working on Super Mario 68k, and Rivereye, who will be helping with the archives and/or links. This bit of a help will take some of the load off of me, and will allow more content to be added to the site a bit faster, so check back often for more updates!
New additions - 9/17/2005
I have added a new page for the links. Now you can choose to view the links with or without images. This gives some options for those that have slow speed, like me. :)

Also, new tutorials are on the way. If you have questions, please join the forum and ask away!
Super Mario Updates - 9/14/2005
(Post taken from forums, posted by LachProg)

It's been a while since last time i updated the file, but i have done some work on the game.
What's new in this version is:

-Implemented slope ground and roof tiles (only 45 degree slopes will be implemented)
(There is still a couple of bugs assosiated to the slope tiles, but i'm working on it)

-Implemented hidden bonusboxes, which can contain coins, powerups, pow-item and 1 up.

-Implemented hidden notes

-Done some work on the title screen. Not finished yet, therefore not included yet.

-Two more levels included in the file. Those has slope tiles.(The cave level is not completely finished)

-Added some more tiles

-Added/improved animation when mario goes into pipes

-I have also corrected several bugs i've discovered, and implemented new modes of behaviour for some kinds of enemies

Here's the link to the download page:

Mario demo

Plans for the nearest future:

-Add backgrounds for the two new levels (grass land and the cave).
Those are currently using the same background as the first two levels.

-Improve the castle background

-Eliminate the bugs with the slope tiles (sometimes you can walk straight into the walls... :-/)

-Make the items and enemies campatible with the slope tiles. (They currently see them as square solid tiles)
(this will be done AFTER i have corrected the bug with the slopes)

-Eliminate a bug when walking on top of tiles at the very upper row of the level
(you simply fall through them now... :-/)

-Eliminate the other bugs that exist

-Implement flying platforms

-Reorganize tiles to allow implementation of more non-solid tiles and interactive tiles

-Finish the cave level, by implementing beetle enemies

-And a lot more!

You can find this discussion on the forums, click here.
Tutorials updated - 9/9/2005
Plentiful updates today! All lessons in the 83+ BASIC section have been updated to accomodate the new command indexing page that is available, plus I added lesson 8, a lesson on hit detection for the homescreen.

Also, the 83 basic games section is now available again.
Some updates - 9/1/2005
I know it has been a while, and I was hoping to have some games, tutorials, links and more uploaded by now, but I just have been unable to find time to work on this site. I have almost half of lesson 8 done for the 83+ basic tutorials, I have a couple of games that I want to get posted, I need to work on the community projects pages a bunch, and some how, the 83 basic games section disappeared. I am hoping to finish lesson 8 this weekend, if things go well.

I also have some wonderful news, TI-City has been released yet again! That's right, you can now download the newest version of the game, explore around 100 rooms, fight off 5 random enemies, defeat a miniboss, and much more. The new version allows for many new functions, and will hopefully pave the way for many new great achievements for BASIC Text RPGs. To download the game, go here. Please let me know what you think of the game and if you stumble upon any bugs that I missed, please let me know in the forum.
Drought - 8/14/2005
Well, as you can see, I haven't really been doing too much lately here on the site. Most of the work that I have been doing for the past several weeks has been on my computer, reviewing games to try and get more online before school starts. By the look of the list to the left, I believe I have posted enough to keep you all going for another couple of weeks. As you may have noticed, I have also added a section for Windows games to be placed. These will mostly come from JcCorp, of CalcHaven. On the assembly games pages for the calcs, I have added links on the top bar so you may easier look for games by shell type, instead of having to scroll through the list.

I also apologize, but I did not get the shells listed for the TI-82 yet. I hope to do that over the course of next week.

Lesson 8 should be online by Tuesday (8/16/2005) evening, it will discuss three different ways to get hit detection in BASIC.

If you have any suggestions, or you can not get something to work, please post your question on the forum.
General Updates - 7/23/2005
Sorry for the lack of updates, but life and work has kept me extremely busy. I have a few lessons planned for the tutorials, and I might even start on makin an 86 tutorial in the near future. I have the newest one for the 89 on my laptop, I just have to get it loaded, which will happen sometime over the course of the week. Until I can get more tutorials written, I have uploaded a few more games to the site. Please enjoy.
Help Omnimaga! - 7/11/2005
Due to certain problems within the community, Kevin has threatened to shut down Omnimaga, because he feels there is nothing really all that good in the TI community anymore, just a bunch of flamers and bashers. Help him realize that he is wrong by signing this petition and hopefully we can keep Omnimaga going!
Uploader added - 7/9/2005
I have finally found a decent file uploader and have fully integrated it into the site. It can be found through the archives link, or here. All the rules pertaining to uploading have been laid out pretty clear, and the only file that it will accept now is .zip format.

I also plan on adding an affiliates section here on the index page, and I hope to have this going very soon.
TI-89 tutorials added - 6/29/2005
Thanks to the efforts of mdjenkins86 from Omnimaga, we now have 2 lessons for the 89 BASIC section, with more on the way. I also will have some more games to post, but it will be a day or two before they get up on the site.

I also plan on getting some more 83 and 83+ tutorials posted, and this will happen once I get some more games on the site.
More updates - 6/28/2005
I managed to get the screen shots for all the files listed to the left posted in their respective pages. I am also going to start an affiliates program, like some of the other great sites are doing. As soon as this is up, I will place a site under that heading, that also places my site under theirs. 2 sites already have done so. :)

Also, work has begun on the 89 tutorials, so please check back in the next couple of days to see them!
BASIC Elite - 6/25/2005
I have added a new section to the tutorials for the BASIC Elite, for easy download. Not much of an update, since I am trying to get an article written up for the newsletter. I also have 2 lessons for the 89 BASIC tutorials, but they will have to wait until later, as the newsletter article takes priority. :)
Links updated - 6/16/2005
I have added another 18 links to the links section, bringing the total to 143 links, all TI-Related. I am now working on the 89 archives, and I hope to have some of that updated within a week.
Doors CS 5.0 Released!! - 6/15/2005
Doors CS 5 Released By Kerm Martian http://www.Cemetech.net

Many people think of graphing calculators as a tool, for math and occassionally for gaming. Few would identify a calculator as a valuable mobile companion for extended productivity on the go. Doors CS 5, the first all-assembly release of the Doors CS Shell for every known TI-83, TI-83+, and TI-84+ series calculator model, aims to change all that. A revolutionary truly graphical user interface hides a powerful, versatile program manager capable of running nearly every filetype available.

Doors CS 5 is a revolutionary new shell and GUI for all TI-83, TI-83+, and TI-84+ series calculators that has been developed from scratch over the past one and a half years. It emulates a graphical interface navigated by a mouse cursor, left and right clicking enabled. There is a taskbar at the bottom containing common tasks including shutdown, contrast, restart, and exit. It also displays free RAM and approximate battery power available. Onscreen are up to six programs with associated icons at a time; a scrollbar at right automatically expands for more than six programs. Doors CS can run most popular TI-83/+/84+ series formats, including BASIC, TI-OS ASM, AShell, SOS, Ion, and Doors CS-proprietary formats. It provides a wealth of libraries and tools for developers, including 16 unique libraries of often-used functions and associated program capabilities. The exhaustive feature list includes:
Shell and GUI for TI graphing calculators
Scrolling desktop with up to six programs displayed at once
Default and imbeddable custom icons
Recognition of nearly every common shell filetype

HotKeys and multiple key conventions supported for maximal ease of use.
Instant desktop view and quit HotKey make switching between Doors CS and the TI-OS a snap.
Automatic recognition lets you run any file simply by clicking on its icon or name.
Modular SEs and ALEs let you add functionality and features quickly and easily.
Innovative associated program feature lets you open any registered file in the correct viewer simply by clicking on it.
Adjust screen contrast, turn off the calculator, view free RAM, and view the remaining battery power with the helpful toolbar below the desktop.
AutoShutOff (ASO) conserves battery power by shutting off the calculator after five minutes of inactivity. Simply press [ON] to resume where you left off.
Error-trapping routines alert you of many common problems instead of letting your calculator crash.
Fast mouse-like cursor interface controlled by the arrow keys streamlines using Doors CS. Support for an external keyboard and mouse is upcoming with TICI 1.0 hardware drivers.
Small shell size leaves plently of space for programs and files.
Extensive tools, including locking and unlocking files and programs, archiving and unarchiving, copying, renaming, and deleting, all from within Doors CS.

Site Slow Down - 6/12/2005
A some of you may have noticed, there really hasn't been any updates to the site for over a week. This is due to the fact that I have been busy with work life, and I have been trying to get the last of the files downloaded so I can really start workin on the archives. I have over 110 MB of asm and basic games taken from ticalc.org to review and process, with over 4000 files still needing to be downloaded. alex10819 has also volunteered some of his time to work on some of the projects, helping shoulder some of the load for this monstrous project. If you would like to assist in reviewing files, let us know on the forum and we can fill you in on the details.
Super Mario 89 updated - 6/2/2005
Lachprog has updated his project, Super Mario 89, and has some really cool screenshots up.

Some of the new features are:
new tiles: some of the castle environment
-new enemies:
-turtle skeleton
-circulating "fireball" (needs some adjustment)
-improved the flying monster found in first release
-added flying turtle
-Falling concrete blocks
-The boomerang dude (can't throw boomerangs yet :-/)
-Fireballs jumping up from the lava

I've also improved the jumping controls. It's now easier to jump up between two bricks etc. If the mario hits the very edge of a solid tile when he jumps he bounches off to the side and continues upwards, instead of just falling down immedeately.

Added a few animations.
Some size optimizations.

Please let the author know what you think of the game. It can be downloaded from here.
Archives begun - 6/2/2005
I have started working on the 86 assembly games, and I hope to have this completed by next weekend. If you would like to help in my endeavor to screen bad programs at ticalc.org, please PM me on the forum.
Site Updates - 6/1/2005
I have added most of the archive pages, though the 82 doesn't have anything as of yet, and I might include the 85, so that may show up down the road. Right now, I am going through the 86 asm games and seeing which ones are good, and putting them up on the site. This is going to take a while, and after I get about 15-20 games up, I will begin working on the 83 and 83+ asm games sections. If you would like to help with this project, PM me on the forum, and I will give further details on it.

I also got Alex10819 Productions added to the list of links, bringing the total to 124. :)
Links added - 5/29/2005
Progress is slow on the archives, though I hope to have all the pages built, so they will quit giving errors, at the least. I plan on going through the entire calc archive on ticalc.org and pulling the good games out and hosting them here. Any help in this regard would be greatly appreciative, and if you would like to do a catagory, or just a few, give me a PM on the message board.

I also added 24 links to the links page. This puts the new total at 123 links!! More will be added next weekend.
TI-City map released! - 5/24/2005
I have decided to release the map to ticity, in its current form. I will be posting information on how you can help create rooms on the forums in a few hours, so please hang tight on that. If you would like to see the pic, it is here.
New File Released! - 5/23/2005
Justin Jones, our new TI-Freakware programmer, has released Fighter 2. This is a sequel to his first game, Fighter, but this version is all graphical. Check it out!

I have also started cleansing the side of the page with the new files and what not, since I now have all of the 83+ files in the actual archives. I will hopefully be able to take them all off soon. I will also be taking off that ugly border around the images, so that will be a visual improvement, anyways. :)
TI-Programmers - 5/23/2005
A joint effort between Alex10819 Productions and Cemetech has created TI-Programmers, a forum for any programming group to join, and get/give help to others. This is an attempt to strengthen the programming side of the TI-Community.

On a related note, Cemetech has also started a newsletter for programmers, called the BASIC Elite. More information can be found in their forum.
Final Fantasy VII: Clouds Quest - 5/22/2005
Ed Fry, webmaster of Fryedsoft, has released what information he still had of the directors edition of Final Fantasy VII: Cloud's Quest. This info explains how the game was supposed to have been played, though when the game first came out (on the 92) they had to take a lot of it out. You can find the information by clicking on his rants page.
83+ BASIC completed - 5/15/2005
I have managed to get the 83+ Basic Graphics Page, the 83+ Basic Math Page, and the 83+ Basic Misc page have all been added. I am now working on the 83 BASIC section.
Archives Started - 5/13/2005
I have started working on the archives, and have finished the 83 plus basic games archive. I will be adding games and programs as I have time, and it will probably take the course over the next week or two.
Project Pages added - 5/13/2005
I finally got around to making the projects pages, one for TI-Freakware and one for Community projects. I will attempt to add screenshots for all projects if they have any, or if the program/game is available, I will get it myself. If you have a project you want announced, please use the forum and I will get it added as fast as I can.
Super Mario 68k! - 5/12/2005
This is a very promising game mimicking the graphics and gameplay of Super Mario 3. Currently, this demo sports a fore ground with animated tiles, a scrolling background (VERY cool looking!!), 5 kinds of enemies, Flower Power up, and half a level. Below are some screenshots of this amazing game:

You can leave any feedback in the forum. You can download this demo by clicking here.
Temp Forum - 5/4/2005
Due to problems with my original forum, I am setting up temporary quarters on an old invisionfree board that was set up for my geocities account. You can find it here.. Please sign up there, and I will try my best to get the problem with the other forum resolved as quickly as I can.
Links added -4/30/2005
I added 9 links to the links section, and I fixed the lesson 5 part of the tutorial in the 83+ section.

There also seems to be a problem with our forums, so if you have a questions, please check out the forums at either Calcgames.org or at Cemetech or at Calchaven.

Edit: I have all pics in the links section fixed, except for Lightyear studios, which is being stuborn about being loaded.

More lessons added - 4/29/2005
I have added 2 new lessons to both the TI-83 and the TI-83+. I am working on the pics for the 83+ tutorials, and should have them up soon. I also noticed some of the pics don't show up on the 83 tutorials section, and these will be fixed as well.
TI-83 Tuturials added - 4/28/2005
I have added several lessons to the tutorials section for the TI-83. These have screenshots where the 83+ section still needs to be uploaded. I plan on taking care of that tonight. :)
Links added - 4/26/2005
I have added new links to the links page, and I am in the process of the creating new pics for those that do not have one.
Tutorials updated - 4/26/2005
I managed to finish lesson 4 on the 83+ tutorials section. I am hoping to complete lesson 5 tonight, and maybe work on some for the 83 as well. (It would be a simple copy and paste, and just delete any reference to the archive)

I also updated the Red Alert program I made a few days ago, because I realized I forgot to place the window settings within the program, so everything should work perfectly now.
Links Statistics completed - 4/21/2005
I have finally completed the stats page for the links. There are currently 85 links, all TI related, and all the links work, except for those affiliated with United TI, as they are currently experiencing Sever Problems. There are also 5 or so pics that do not show up, I also know about this and will have them up soon. Check here to see what links I have, and if you have one that I do not, please feel free to drop me a line on the forum and I will get it added asap.
New Program Released - 4/20/2005
I have just finished making a small program that will place your calculator under a Red Alert, Like Used on the early Star Trek movies. Check it out by downloading it here.
New Pope Elected - 4/19/2005
They have finally elected a new pope, a German by the name of Joseph Ratzinger, who will be taking the name Benedict the 16th. I myself am not Catholic, but I still want to wish him the best of luck and congradulations on his election. :)
Links Stats begun - 4/13/2005
I have begun work on adding statistics to the links page. I currently have 40 complete with only 55 more to go. After that, I will create the stats page, and then I will try to get a submit link script set up.

Site Updates - 4/10/2005
I have added a few more pages to the file details section, and I will try to finish the rest sometime today.

I found out yesterday, my friends, Keven Ouellet, founder of Omnimaga, and Kerm Martian, founder of Cemetech got this site signed up for TI-News' Conglomerate. I would like to personally thank them for that. If you would like the link to that, you can find it here.

Also, I have taken some of the older news items out, and placed them on the oldnews page. This will help keep the clutter down here on the front page.
Site Updates - 4/9/2005
After getting the stats page to work fairly well, I am now working on creating the same thing for the links page. I hope to have this well on the way this after noon. More on this as it happens.

Also, until I can get the archive script written in php, please use the list of games and programs off to the left of the page. I hope to have the archives complete as soon as I am able.

Alright, I got to thinking, the poor people won't know what they are downloading unless I create the file stats pages. So I am going to work on that (already have 4 completed) and work on the links a little later. I already have it set up to download through them, the tricky part is going to be creating a stats page for those links, but I have an idea as to how I will have that on here.
Site Updates - 4/7/2005
I created a temporary stats page for the files. This will be replaced once the archives are complete.

Edit: Ok, they are not showing up. I will let you know when this gets fixed. They are listing in the .txt correctly, just not showing up on the page...

Edit2: The page works now, thanks to Kerm for pointing out and fixing a corrupted line in the database. Now to get to work on the archive code.
Site Updates - 4/6/2005
I have added another new site to the list of links, which for the most part, now work. It also has come to my attention that some of the links are no longer any good, so I need to go through and prune these bad links out. I have also begun work on the archive script, though this is gonna take some time figuring out what in the world I screwed up in it. Oh, and please feel free to use the message board. If you would like a sub-forum there, I will gladly give you one (only if it is calculator related).

Edit: I have finally added a small archive, off to the left, of our programs so far. As soon as I get the script fixed, I will add a full fledged archives for anyone to add files. I also have a download counter in place, and I will add pages so you can view the sats of programs and games a lil later.
Site Updates - 4/1/2005
Well, TI-Freakware has breached 26000 downloads at TI-Calc.org, making us rank as #539. At Calcgames.org, we have 9231 downloads, ranking us as 32 out of 210 authors. Also, I managed to get the custom error 404 page complete, integrating it better into the sites look. I made the attempt to do the same for the forum, but for some reason, it wouldn't work, so I have to come up with something different for it.
Site Updates - 3/30/2005
Progress has slowed drastically due to my lap top crashing. I will try to work on the site as best I can until I get that repaired. I added a file not found page (Error 404) incase you come across a page or link that does not yet work. I also noticed that the links page does not work correctly, and i am thinking about getting rid of the banners, and just putting in the names of the sites to make it a lil easier. If I can not figure out why the cgi script for the links refuse to work, I will just make it as a normal page definetely without the banners.
Site Updates - 3/27/2005
I have added 2 new things to the site, the google search box, and an ad that is from google. These were placed on there to assist calcgames.org in raising money for contests and such, and to also help with costs for the server. I also had planned to add more tutorials, their corresponding images, and a bunch of archive directory pages, but for some reason, each of my floppy disks (3 of them) decided that they did not want to work, so they now lay at the bottom of my trash can.

There also has been some progress with TI-City, though my 'trusty' 83+SE cleared its ram, taking most of the new stuff. Do not worry though, as I am almost back to where I left off. There is also a definte planned port of this for the 86 and the 89, though that is a ways off.

The Star Trek game has been suspended until the next release of TI-City, as has Age of Darkness Revenge. I will re-start work on them once I get the new TI-City out. More on this to come.
Site Updates - 3/18/2005
I added some of my tutorials for the 83+, though I am not quite finished with lesson 3. I am also going to be going on vacation for the next week, but I will work on the site via my lap top, and I hope to be able to add another 3-5 lessons by the time I get back. I will try to add something else tonight, but I have to go through and edit all the rest of the pages that I do have on my computer, so that may not be possible. At anyrate, by the time I get back, I will have most of the archives pages ready, but the actual archives won't be set up until I can get a download counter to work. More on this as it happens. :)
Site Updates - 3/17/2005
The forum is now online. Check it out and let me know what you think. :)
Site Updates - 3/16/2005
I have started to port the pages from the geocities site over to the new server. This is going to take a while, and a lot of the links are not going to work for a while. Please bear with me as this transition slowly moves forward.

Edit: I have the tutorials page, the links page (Script doesn't work yet), the contact page, and the archive page up. Now I need to ad the actual archives, and the tutorials. I also am going to add my projects, once all of this is caught up. Plus, a nice little counter would be nice...
